The Rolex Datejust 36 reference 126233 combines Oystersteel with 18 ct yellow gold, which Rolex calls Yellow Rolesor, with a gold fluted bezel. The Datejust was introduced in 1945 as the first self-winding chronometer wristwatch to show the date in a window on the dial.

The 126233 uses calibre 3235, a self-winding movement with a power reserve of around 70 hours, and is water resistant to 100 metres.
